Yesterday…
- Matthew and I watched Stardust together. It was cute.
- I packed my diaper bag and spent the evening getting things together for Lobby Day.
- The kids helped me clean up the house.
Yesterday…
- I mended Matthew’s dress pants with some black cotton fabric. Sewing black on black is horrific, especially if you’re using itty bitty teeny tiny stitches.
- I read way too much about IIS, MySQL, PHP, and MediaWiki. Ouch! My brain! It burns!
- I did one WordPress installation.
- Matthew and I stayed up late watching Sunshine. I was cool with it until it turned into Event Horizon. I did not sign up for Event Horizon. That kind of stuff keeps me up at night. I was highly unamused.
- So, I was already on edge from Sunshine turning into a crappy horror movie, and lo, banging from outside. Matthew saw someone trying to kick in the neighbors’ door and I told him to call 9-1-1 because it was one in the freaking morning. The police came. The next two hours consisted of our neighbors auditioning for the Jerry Springer show. Loudly. With plenty of police cars. And in temperatures below freezing. WTF, people, WTF.
Yesterday…
- The kids got up and rushed outside in order to properly frolic in the snow. They built the only snowmen on the block. They even built a snow dog.
- I made lasagna for the Friday fooding. Matthew had gluten-free baked macaroni. Same ingredients except for the pasta, yay!
- I went to the grocery store and stocked up, since multiple days next week have snow symbols on them. Joy.
Yesterday…
- Oh my God, the snow. Big and fluffy, small and icy, snow, snow, snow. And then it started raining. Meh.
- Matthew drove me to school because I was a little leery of driving in the snow. Two-thirds of the math class was there, which must mean that they love the class as much as I do. We did hyperbolic functions. Sinh(), cosh(), etc.
- We went to the mall and I bought two dress shirts, a pair of dress shoes, and three pairs of nylons. I hate shopping.
- We had to nix plans to go out to Bonefish for dinner because the weather was just miserable. Chef Boyardee to the rescue.
Yesterday…
- We found Rebecca’s original ballet slippers in the lost and found at ballet. After I’d written her name on the new ones with Sharpie.
- I bought a pack of floss for her budding friendship bracelet hobby. I was getting tired of her raiding my small, small stash.
- I did most of my math homework. Yay, length of a curve and work.
- Madeline ate four of Cinderella’s slippers, and I told Rebecca that there was no way that I was fishing through poopy diapers to find them. Goodbye, glass slippers.
- I watched Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles on FOX’s web site. Are they ignoring T3: Rise of the Machines completely, or will it be worked back into the timeline later on? I wonder. It may be like Highlander 2, where it exists but isn’t considered canon.
Yesterday…
- My class started at NVCC. MATH 174, also known as Calculus 2. I love my math class. Of course, I drove there in a snowstorm that disappeared by the time I turned the corner.
- Marcus made lunch while I was away at school. Life skills! Macaroni and cheese!
- I taught Rebecca how to make friendship bracelets with some spare floss.
- I bought floss organizers to prevent the floss I have from turning into a rat’s nest.
- Last, but not least, Matthew and I celebrated our tenth anniversary.
Yesterday…
- I printed out my temporary parking tag for NVCC.
- I made Thai beef green curry for my dinner while everyone else had leftover basil chicken. Tamarind just annoys my mouth.
- The baby had beans and rice for lunch.
- Another house on my daily dog-walking route went on the market. It is right next to one that has been on the market for at least three months.
Yesterday…
- Matthew made basil chicken for dinner; I fed some of the mild batch to Madeline and she yummed it up.
- I sorted all of my felt by color. Rainbows!
- I had fried halloumi cheese for dinner. ‘Fried’ and ‘cheese’ go so well together.
Yesterday…
- Jess came over and we needlefelted a poppy and a hedgehog each. We also walked the dog. But there was lots and lots of needlefelting.
- Rebecca threw one heck of a tantrum and Matthew carried the television out to the shed. The kids asked “Can we watch TV?” a few too many times this weekend. Not cool. Hello, peace and quiet.
- The mailman brought a box of felt. Yay, felt!
Yesterday…
- I took Rebecca to the store and got new ballet shoes. I am so glad that this pair came with the elastics already sewn.
- I had a Caesar salad for dinner.
- I washed all of Madeline’s stuffed animals and soft toys.
